With Memorial Day in the rearview mirror, we know that Father’s Day is fast approaching. Honestly, I generally just send my sweet dad a card, and he tells me that’s all he wants. He does request, however, that I actually write something in it. So I ordered this one, which is blank inside. But I like to get my husband (the father of my two children) a gift, usually a golf shirt or some photography equipment he’s been eyeing. This year we’ve already purchased and set up his Father’s Day gift in the basement. Scroll down to see what it is! In case you’re looking for thoughtful Father’s Day gift ideas, I’ve created a gift guide with a wide assortment of options.

James and I often choose to get birthday, anniversary, Christmas and Mother’s/Father’s day gifts that actually benefit both of us. So this year, James got probably the biggest Father’s Day gift he’s ever gotten: this treadmill and this exercise bike. So yeah, these are sizable gifts…in more ways than one! But we’ve finally realized that we just can’t stay committed to our exercise routines through the Ohio winters the way we easily did in Arizona. So we’re committed to getting on these pieces of equipment and using them at least a couple of times each week. I’ll let you know how that goes.

But don’t worry. I did include those pieces of exercise equipment in my gift guide because…why not? But I’ve filled the guide with lots of other options at all price points and for a variety of interests. Whether you’re shopping for a meaningful gift for your own dad, your husband, a son or son-in-law or another man you’d like to honor, I hope the shopping widget below provides you some inspiration and perhaps a link to that perfect present.

Blessed for My Day
Let’s hear it for the men in your life! Men don’t get a lot of respect these days. I know that there are some who have indeed done dastardly and hurtful things. But let’s not neglect to show respect and gratitude to the men who have lived honorably just because some have behaved horribly. And that’s not to gloss over the fact that you may have been deeply wounded by a man at some time in your life. A good and honorable man can make such a difference in people’s lives. I know I am very grateful for the strength, wisdom and love that I have received from several good and godly men.
So if you are married to or are the daughter of a man who has loved God, worked hard, cared for his family and contributed well to his community, I encourage you to thank God for that man. Sing his praises to someone else today. Brag on him a little. But most importantly, tell that man how much he means to you.
I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus, that in everything you were enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge, even as the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed in you ~ 1 Corinthians 1:4-6
I guess I missed something – I don’t see any links to shop for the items in the large picture.
