Brrr! Baby, it’s cold outside! So it’s time to make sure your wardrobe includes at least a few pieces of elevated lounge and sleepwear for the colder months ahead. I’ve collected my personal favorites for you today. These are the outfits I love to wear at home, and I frequently change into them in the evening after work. Oh! And almost all of these are marked down already for Black Friday!

Elevated Loungewear
Nuuds, a brand that focuses on elevating the basics, reached out to me recently to share of couple of their best sellers. I’m so impressed with the comfort and style of this brown sweater top & matching pants set (purchased separately), both in the color espresso.
I always use the size guides when ordering from brands I’m not familiar with. I’m wearing my usual size medium and they fit perfectly. Both items have a good bit of stretch but seem to keep their shape with wear.
Nuuds is a basics brand built on the idea that your clothes should feel as good as they look. They’ve definitely mastered that concept with these yummy separates. I’ll be slipping into these boucle sweater top & matching pants over and over.
My Kilte long sleeve Liz set, shown above and below, is the physical definition of elevated loungewear. These 100% washable and dryable (!!!) cashmere separates are super soft and so chic. You can truly get “dressed for your day” in comfort while still looking polished in these exquisitely comfortable sweater and pants.
Again, I used the size guide to determine that I needed a size large in this set, and it fits just right. The sweater feels like most cashmere sweaters, soft and light. But the pants are a thicker knit with more heft. Both feel amazing and move with you beautifully.
I haven’t laundered the pieces yet, but with the reviews I’ve read, I expect to love the results. This Kilte long sleeve Liz set is currently marked down significantly and comes in other colors, too.
These gorgeous soft modal blend lounge pants from Printfresh are a treat! They’re silky and beautiful. They run true to size; I’m wearing a medium for a very generous fit. I’m wearing the Rowan lounge pants in the Partridge in a Pear Tree print with the cashmere sweater from the Kilte set.

According to the website, you should dry clean these lounge pants. So that’s a definite drawback. But I think they’re a beautiful option for hosting a casual affair. I’ll be wearing mine during Thanksgiving, probably as we enjoy an easy day at my son’s home on Black Friday.
The Lake Pajama loungewear set shown above and below is one I’ve been wearing for a little over a year now, and they’ve held up beautifully. I love the slim fit (I’m wearing my usual size large according to their size chart).
I also have this set in grey and it comes in conifer green, too. They rarely run sales at Lake, but right now this set is 25% off. In fact, this is Lake’s ONLY sitewide sale of the year, and even new arrivals are 25% off. Amazing! They have beautiful pajamas, too. They’re my daughter Abigail’s favorites.
The Spanx AirEssentials top and pants really are all they’re cracked up to be. I’ve tried other brands that have created similar options, but they never come close to the softness or construction of these iconic lounge and travel pieces. They do make other silhouettes in the AirEssentials, too.
I take my usual size in the top, but size up to a large in the pants for a more generous fit. Both pieces come in a wide range of colors.

Elevated Sleepwear
When it is time to turn in for the night, I still prefer to wear an “outfit.” Ha! That’s just how I roll.
These Soma Cool Nights pajamas look polished and beautiful, but, more importantly, they feel silky soft. The Cool Nights® are made with lightweight rayon fibers that stay cool to the touch and keep the fabric from sticking to your body. I always buy mine in threes, since you purchase each piece separately.
I’m wearing the enchanted toile champagne collection in the long sleeve top , tank and pants. This is what I generally wear up and about in the house. Then I remove the long sleeve top to sleep, unless it’s just exceptionally cold.

Another favorite source for elevated sleepwear that is also comfortable is Haven Well Within. You can already get 40% off your entire purchase at Haven Well Within in their early Black Friday sale. I’m wearing the organic cotton jersey seashell sleep set in a pretty glacier forest blue combo. I do love that these are sold as a set, but they also have options that are sold as individual pieces if you prefer that.
I’ve completed this easy-night-at-home look with the organic cotton shaker stitch cardigan in stream blue and I’m wearing my usual medium for an oversized fit. This pretty and soft cardigan comes in a wide range of colors and sizes.
I spend a lot of time in this lounge and sleepwear, so I don’t mind investing in good pieces. Plus, I want them to be sturdy and feature good construction so they’re truly comfortable and stand up to wear and laundering. But I almost always make my purchases when I can get the best deal. And NOW is that time. With only maybe one or two exceptions, I do not expect prices to get any better on these at-home wardrobe essentials. And sizes and styles will sell out, so I would shop now if you’re interested in adding to your lounge and sleepwear collections.

Blessed for Your Day
Sleep is important for our physical and emotional health. It provides an opportunity for all of our organs to rest so that cells can regenerate. Sleep lets our brains rest so that we can be more alert and functional the next day. Even our metabolism is affected by the amount of sleep we do or do not get. Most importantly, sleep is a gift from God, the One who created us and knows our bodies and minds intimately.
My mind tends to race even as the day draws to a close, and I have a hard time shutting down for the night sometimes. So I’ve been using the Abide app for a bedtime “story” each evening. I turn it on and it shuts off automatically when the approximately 30 minute biblical story is over. I rarely hear more than about 10 minutes of the stories, but my sleep is so much deeper and more peaceful with these soothing tales.
