With the midpoint of February fast arriving, it is time now to plan your Spring wardrobe. Your favorite brands have been and will be rolling out their new styles for the season this month. And if you haven’t made at least a few plans for how you’ll dress this spring, you may be prone to over-shop and make regrettable purchases. So this month I’m helping you to plan your spring wardrobe strategically. That does indeed include checking out the new arrivals as they show up. So today I’m sharing some early spring new arrivals for women from your favorite brands. I’m trying them on and sharing fit information.

How to Shop Here: To shop the items I feature, just click on the words in the captions of photos, the highlighted words in my text or the images in the shopping widgets I sometimes include. When you shop through my links I potentially earn a commission on your purchases, but at no additional cost to you. Thank you so much for supporting my work here by shopping my links. Items that have been gifted to me by the associated brand are indicated with “c/o”.
Indeed, I have fashions to share with you from so many brands, some of them fairly new to me. I do have some pricey items in the mix, but I’m also trying on for you some great buys at much lower price points.
NOTE: In true try-on fashion, these are not styled outfits. I’m basically trying on a new top and bottom and shoes in each photo. I might would wear some of them together, but others I’d probably style differently in real life. I’m 5’8″ and about 160 pounds. I have an hourglass shape and even proportions. I generally wear a size medium, misses 10 or a 30 in denim. Let’s check out some early spring new arrivals!
One more NOTE: The little square you’ll see in most of these photos is a mic. I also recorded videos with each outfit and you can see them soon on Instagram and in my LTK Shop.
Early Spring New Arrivals from Sanctuary
Ribbed Zip Sweater – This viscose and polyester blend ribbed top is lightweight, but substantial. You can zip and unzip the sweater from top and bottom. I’m wearing it in my usual size medium. It does fit close to the body, but it’s silky soft and does not hug the body. I’m not thrilled with how it looks in the back, so I probably won’t add it to my closet. But if you’re more toned than I am, it could be a lovely spring top…or you could size up.

Mikel Flat by Dolce Vita – These perforated suede Mary Janes are not only on trend; they’re super comfortable. They have a little bit of cushion in the sole, but they’re really soft inside. I wouldn’t wear these for a day full of walking, but they will be great for normal ins and outs of a typical day. They fit nicely true to size; I wear a 9.5 medium for reference. These earned a spot in my spring wardrobe.

Straight Cropped Pant in Chalk – This casual 97% cotton, 3% Spandex cargo pant from Sanctuary has a mid rise at 10″. I generally prefer a high rise, but with the right top I would definitely wear these. They’re lightweight and slightly sheer. The inseam is 28″ and the leg opening is 16″. I would cuff them up if wearing sneakers or other high vamp shoes. I sized up to a 31 since I’ve had other Sanctuary pants and needed that size, but these are a little roomy. That said, I don’t want a white pant to be snug, so I’d probably go with this size anyhow. I’m keeping these in my wardrobe.

Pointelle Shell in Bloom Pink – This sleeveless sweater is 100% slub cotton. I don’t have modesty problems with the knit personally, but you could wear a similar color or flesh toned tank underneath if you prefer. If you button the collar up, you probably need a racerback bra. With the neck unbuttoned I can comfortably wear my normal bra. I’m wearing my usual size medium and this one stays in my wardrobe for later in the season. It comes in ivory and black, too.

Rails Lucien Belted Crop Trench Coat – This smart, modern trench is one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time. I’m pleased to tell you that it is 97% cotton, 3% spandex and it is lined with a cotton stretch lining, too. The contrasting fabric at the collar and cuffs will work well with my wardrobe since it is comprised of blue, ivory and a soft brown.

The jacket features a storm flap in the back, a buttoned collar at the top, a functional buckle belt, ample pockets and patterned buttons. It’s a nice weight and has a beautiful drape and hand. I have my normal size medium and it fits perfectly. I’m excited to add this jacket to my spring wardrobe.

Endless High Rise Flare Pant – I have half a dozen pairs of the Endless High Rise Pants from Athleta in my wardrobe, but only recently I realized they have a new flare silhouette. These are a little longer than the more tapered pants, so they’re great for now and later. They, like the others, fit true to size. Or go with your higher of two sizes if you’re between. I’m wearing a regular 10 very comfortably for a snug fit in the torso and an eased fit in the legs.

These 86% Recycled Polyester/14% Spandex pants are moisture-wicking, quick-drying, rip resistant, wrinkle resistant and breathable, all the characteristics you want in a good travel pant. And they work nicely for golf and walking, too. They do have side zip pockets. These pants are new to me, but they’re not new. They’re actually selling out and marked down for FINAL SALE. But I highly recommend ordering them with the information I’ve provided if they meet a need. The pants do come in black and elm, but sizes are few. They have more availability in petites. I’m keeping these!

I showed the Endless Highrise Pants with the Favorite Cotton Classic Top in gossamer, but it is not new. It is available in limited sizes and in different colors, runs true to size and is indeed a favorite tee of mine.

Barrel Leg Jean from J.Crew Factory – I am surprised at how much I like these barrel jeans. I’m kind of over this trending silhouette since I was an early adopter and have worn them since 2020. But these please me. They fit nicely true to size; I’m wearing my usual 30 very comfortably. The pants come in two blue denim washes, too, and in petite and tall lengths. I’m not keeping these because I’m no longer wearing this silhouette, but I would consider them otherwise.

Short Sleeve Cotton Crewneck Sweater from J. Crew Factory – I got this classic, lightweight sweater in bright indigo (shown above) and ivory (shown below). The sweater fits true to size. They carry sizes XXS to 3X and have other colors, too. It would be a great top to wear under a blazer for work, but I don’t really need these. I’ll pass this one on in both colors.

Wide Leg Cropped Jean from J.Crew Factory – These 85% cotton/14% polyester/1% elastane jeans have a nice amount of both stretch and structure. They are an ankle length on me with a 26.5″ inseam. But they do come in petite and tall sizes, too. The jeans fit very nicely true to size; I’m wearing my usual 30. I love the true dark wash with only slight, strategic fading and whiskering. But they also come in other washes and white. They don’t give the measurement, but they are a high rise, sitting right at my bellybutton. I’m not keeping this in my wardrobe because I don’t need them, but I would otherwise.

Wit & Wisdom Wyatt Skyrise Crop Pants – These casual, wide-leg twill pants are 54% cotton, 43% rayon, 3% spandex, so they have a nice amount of stretch and feel soft and comfortable. They fit true to size; I’m wearing a 10. I love the wide, straight leg of these pants, and they will definitely meet a need in my casual wardrobe.

The only problem with these pants in my consideration is that the front pockets are so shallow that they’re useless. But I imagine that is by design to prevent that pesky pocket bulge none of us love. And I don’t use the front pockets anyhow. The pants come in five other versatile neutrals and sizes 00 to 18, as well as PETITES. I’m definitely keeping these.

InterLock Cotton Function T-Shirt from Aritzia – This was my first time to try on clothes from Aritzia, and I’m suitably impressed. The quality of these garments is very nice. Each piece feels substantial and elevated. The tee is a little boxy, but I like it all the same. It just strikes a note personally. The 100% cotton fabric is super soft and a nice density. The top fits true to size and rests just at the hip. The stripe can look a little juvenile, so I’ll style it strategically (not with these pants), but I’m keeping this tee.

The Lodge Pant™ in Crepette™ by Aritzia – I was influenced by my friend Suzie Wright to try the Lodge Pant™. She touts it as a great travel pant because it doesn’t wrinkle and it goes from day to evening nicely with the change of footwear and top. I have to agree; this is a versatile, beautiful pant. Using their size guide (It’s best on your laptop or computer; not so great on your mobile device.), I determined I needed a size large. It is a roomy fit, but I think if I sized down it might be snug in the hips, something you definitely don’t want with these flowy, elasticized/drawstring waist pants. And looking at the photos I think this is the right size, too. They come in a variety of neutrals, as well as short, regular and long lengths. We have an Aritzia opening in our mall soon, and I look forward to trying a medium on when I can. But I’m keeping these.

Bare Cashmere Bloor Sweater in admiral/ villa blu by Aritzia – I am so much more pleased with this lightweight (but substantial and not sheer) cashmere t-shirt style sweater than I expected to be. It fits nicely true to size; I’m wearing a medium. The length is short enough to create nice proportions untucked, but not terribly cropped. It comes in additional colors and another stripe. This goes in my spring wardrobe.

The Finch Short Trench Coat in Marcona Beige from Aritzia – If you’re looking for a short but protective trench coat, this is a sure contender. It’s a classic silhouette and style with a buckle belt that fits nicely true to size. I’m wearing a medium very comfortably. The interior is lined in a 100% cupro and the shell is 100% cotton. It’s a very pleasing weight; not too heavy, but not flimsy at all. It’s priced well below the Rails jacket, but it’s not inexpensive. I do think it’s a good value, however. I’m returning this one only because I’m keeping the other.

The Ibiza Platform Sneaker from Soludos – This is another new brand for me. I used the size guides and ordered my usual size 9.5 M and it fits nicely. This classic sneaker has a slight platform (1.4″) and Ortholite insoles that make the footbed quite comfortable, but not especially cushy. The upper is suede and very soft on the top of the foot. I would definitely wear these for everyday wear, but not for touring a city. I think they’ll look smart with spring outfits and give the necessary height to wear with full-length pants, so I’m keeping these in my wardrobe.

Alenna Heel by Dolce Vita – Even in the regular length, at 5’8″ I do need a slight platform or heel to wear the Aritzia Lodge pants, so here I’m wearing the Alenna Heel by Dolce Vita. I fell in love with these shoes the minute I put them on. They’re just super soft on the foot and the 1.57″ heel is very manageable for me. The perforated suede upper provides interest and the silhouette is feminine and elongating. I’m keeping these!

Bare Cashmere V-Neck Cardigan in Villa Pink from Aritzia – I actually wore this beautiful, soft cardigan recently when I recorded this week’s YouTube video. I’m wearing a size medium, but a large might would have given me a more relaxed fit that would still be nice. The slightly cropped length is nice for creating good proportions and the V-neckline is not too low for my taste. I’m keeping this one, but I look forward to trying a size large eventually.

Utility Ponte Barrel Pant by Sanctuary – Here’s another barrel pant, but I like this style right now more than denim. That’s just a personal preference, however. Barrel jeans are still very on trend. Anyhow this pant is constructed in a dense 68% Rayon, 27% Nylon, 5% Spandex Ponte knit fabric that hugs you gently in the hips for a slenderizing fit. They feature a wide, flat waistband with a 11 1/4″ rise. The inseam is inseam is 29″ and the leg opening is 15 1/2 inches. They feature an on trend front seam and open utility pockets along the side of the legs. I tried on both the medium and large in the store and, while both fit, I decided to size up for a slightly more forgiving fit. I’m on the fence about keeping these.

Toni Fine Knit Polo by Varley – This 40% Nylon, 30% Wool, 30% Viscose Knit polo is super soft and almost feels like cashmere. It’s a beautiful taupe color and very comfortable. However, I think I would size up for a gentler fit. I went with my usual medium because I’d been burned before when I ordered a large top from Varley. However, this polo fits very close to the body, so a large would have served me better. I won’t be keeping this one and can’t return for another size because it was gifted. However, I would if I could.

Cosmo pant in dot print from J.Crew – This flowy 100% viscose mid-rise pant features an elasticized waistband, but not a wide, flat one. It does have functional side pockets and a beautiful drape. The front rise is 11 1/8″, the inseam is 29″ and the leg opening is 26 1/2″ on a size small. Of course I’m wearing my usual size medium and it is comfortable. The pant does come in petite and tall sizes. Oh, and the color is black with white or ivory dots. I’ve kept this one in my wardrobe.

Perfect Cashmere Cable-knit Cardigan from J.Crew – I reviewed this pretty, soft cardigan in my recent J.Crew try-on session post. I like the length, which rests nicely at the hip. The sweater can easily be worn alone or over a tee or tank. To wear over a more substantial button-up shirt, I would size up. It comes in several other equally spring-like colors. This one stays in my spring wardrobe for sure.

Brushed Cashmere Boatneck T-Shirt from J.Crew – I showed this cashmere boatneck t-shirt in my J.Crew try-on session post in a pretty navy/ivory stripe. But I think this graduate blue is so striking. It’s also available in black, washed out pink and heather charcoal. I’m wearing my usual size medium for a nice fit. I’m keeping this one.

The Roma flats from Margaux – These classic pointy-toe ballet flats are constructed in a buttery Nappa upper with smooth leather lining for a very comfortable fit and feel. They have 5mm of plush foam padding for all-day comfort and an elasticized topline for custom fit. The shoes feature a very small heel, just enough to give you a little lift, which I need I in the heel. They fit nicely true to size, but use their size guide for the best fit. I wear a US 9.5 and went with the 40.5. They do come in narrow, medium and wide fits, as well as a number of other colors and fabrications. These fit beautifully and will definitely serve a purpose in my spring wardrobe.

Cathy Pointelle Silk Cashmere Cardigan Sweater from Ramy Brook – This fairly sheer cardigan is quite pricey, but it is absolutely exquisite. The knit fabric is a soft, lightweight silk pointelle cashmere and it feels amazing to the skin. So it’s breathable and silky. I went with my usual size medium per the size chart and I’m happy with the fit. Here I’m wearing it just with a flesh-toned bra and I think it works. But yesterday I tried it again with this camisole (in ivory, which doesn’t seem to be available) and it worked beautifully. I’m pleased to add this sweater to my spring wardrobe.

Veronica Beard Leah Ankle Straight Leg Jeans – These white jeans are constructed in a nice weight 98% cotton, 2% elastane denim, so they are not too sheer or revealing, something I always look for in a white denim. They have a lower high rise than I anticipated. On the model they look like a super high rise, but on me (with even proportions) they hit below my bellybutton. They feel great and maybe even a little roomy, but I did size up to a 31, as I often do in premium denim. If you like a mid-rise, these are definitely worth checking out. Oh, but keep in mind they’re supposed to be an ankle length and they’re long on me at 5’8″. Because the rise is lower than I prefer, I’m returning these.

Nordstrom Liza Pointed Toe Slingback Pumps – These light tan suede slingbacks are not new to me, but they are still available at Nordstrom so I thought I’d share the details. They are a beautiful skin-toned pump for me and they do come in other colors and smooth grain leather styles. The strap stays nicely as I walk and the 2 1/4″ heel is very manageable for me (it doesn’t feel or look that high to me). They run true to size and these Nordstrom brand shoes are priced reasonably for the quality (under $100). I highly recommend them and will wear them frequently in spring.

Veronica Beard Brenner Stretch Cotton Ribbed Top – I’ve had several ribbed polos from Veronica Beard in the past and enjoyed them, so when I saw this long-sleeved version with the diagonal button feature I snapped it up. The 96% cotton, 4% elastane fabric fits close to the body, but isn’t tight. I think the spread collar is very flattering, but not too low for my comfort. I like the Blue Coast color, but it also comes in white. I often find my closet lacking simple but elevated tops like this one, so I’m keeping this for spring.

London Fog Water Resistant Trench – This short, double-breasted trench is very on trend, but it is not as wide or swingy as many of the cropped length ones showing up. I prefer this slightly trimmer silhouette. I’m wearing it in the British Khaki and you can see it is definitely darker and warmer than the other two trenches I’ve shown. It features tortoise shell buttons and a storm flap in the back, which is also buttoned down.

The trench does have functional side pockets and is water resistant. The jacket also comes in black and a really fun check. It runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium very comfortably. I’m keeping this one to have an unbelted, sporty option in my wardrobe.

Mother the Dodger Ankle Jeans in canyon clay – I don’t normally wear colored jeans, but these struck my fancy! They have a 11 1/4″ rise and a 27 1/2″ inseam, which are both right at my favorite dimensions. For a more flattering look I will wear these with a trimmer top than this pullover. I did get these in my usual size 30, whereas I often size up to a 31 in Mother jeans, because the website indicated they run true to size for a more relaxed fit. I’m keeping these for spring.
Katenas moccasins from Vince Camuto – Leopard print continues to be on trend for 2026, but I don’t have much in my wardrobe at this point. So when I tried on these simple moccasins in the store recently I knew they were for me. Not all leopard print is equal, in my estimation. But I like this particular print. The moccasins are very comfortable with an 0.8″ rubber outsole and soft in the interior as well. I’m wearing my usual 9.5. These definitely go into my closet for spring.

White Stone Washed Cotton Anne Crewneck from Tuckernuck – This 100% cotton sweater fits nicely, but it’s actually quite long. I took a photo with it pulled down, but it looks like that one didn’t make it into the post. It goes down probably to my crotch, but I have it pulled up to my hips. I don’t really care for the “washed” effect, which basically amounts to a lot of discoloration. This is the white for reference. At this price point I can’t even recommend this piece for a basic cotton sweater. I’m returning this one.

Mother The Kick It High Waist Straight Leg Jeans in Birds Gone Wild – I was really looking forward to receiving these ankle jeans from Mother because I absolutely love my full length ones in the Fan Favorite wash. Alas, this jean has much less stretch (almost none) and the rise feels a lot lower. Supposedly the rise is the same, but it doesn’t sit that way on me at all. They’re not for me, but if you like a true mid rise jean and less stretch, these could be a sweet one for spring and summer. The wash is very nice and they fit according to the size guide. (I did size up to a 31 for a good fit.) I’ll be returning these because they just don’t suit my proportions.

Vince Cashmere & Silk Long Sleeve Polo – Here’s another cashmere/silk blend sweater. I fell in love with the springy Mulberry color. I’m wearing a size medium and I think it fits. But I’m not sure but that I might prefer a roomier, more relaxed fit when push comes to shove. It feels beautiful on and I do appreciate the bracelet length sleeves and collared neckline. But I’m waffling on whether to return it for a larger size.

Kut from the Kloth Sienna Cuffed Medium Wash Jeans – If you’re loving the deep cuff trend (which still seems to prevail), these are a sweet option at a really nice price point. Per the instructions at the website, I did size down from my normal 10 to an 8, and the fit is good. With just a little wear I think they would ease up a bit and look really nice. These jeans do feature a little distressing and the wash is quite mottled. But for a casual look, I think these are a great choice. I’ll pass because I’m over the deep cuffs personally.

Aureum No. 10 Belt in Chocolate/Gold – If you’re looking for a modern, classic belt to add to your wardrobe, this one from Aureum would be a nice choice. This is a new brand to me, but I like what I see. The belt fits true to size and the buckle is polished and significant, but also minimalist in design. We’ll continue to see suede worn into spring and even summer this year, so a suede belt is still a smart choice. It comes in other colors and hardware tones. I’ll add this one to my collection for sure.
Vince Stretch Silk Button-Up Shirt in Clover – I love a good silk shirt from Vince and this color just drew me in. Obviously I’ll need to run a dryer sheet over it before wearing to prevent static cling. But without the annoying cling (that I didn’t realize I had when I took these photos) it has a beautiful drape and fits nicely true to size. The shirt also comes in two other equally beautiful colors. I ordered the large also, but I’ll keep this medium shirt.
Whew! That took me several hours to photograph since I was on my own and using my cell phone on a tripod. But I’m so please with many of the pieces I’ve shown you today. Whether you’re beginning to shop for your spring wardrobe or just getting a feel for what is going to be available, I hope you benefited from this early spring new arrivals try-on session. I have another one featuring warm weather vacation options coming this Thursday. You can shop all of the items I shared here in the shopping widget below. Thanks so much for dropping in.

Blessed for My Day
I am so blessed. The Lord has certainly been good to me. I’m grateful to still have my parents with me, and my children and grandchild have all been relatively healthy to this point. I have a wonderful husband who is generous and supportive. And all of our basic needs have been met beautifully. Indeed, God has provided for us faithfully through the years of our marriage.
But the greatest blessing of all is not one that I can point to or list for you. The richest blessing I’ve ever experienced is the sheer presence of the Lord in my life. Truly, He has “been with me” and I have felt His nearness. While we do have a good God who gives us many things for which we are thankful, let’s be sure to express our gratitude regularly for the greatest gift of all: His presence in our daily lives.
For You make him most blessed forever;
You make him joyful with the joy of Your presence. ~ Psalm 21:6
I have got to get me a trench coat! lol! So far in your spring wardrobe blogs I have “saved” two photos for my own spring wardrobe ideas and they both included you wearing a trenchcoat!
Today’s was adorable with the stripe tshirt underneath.
I am 5ft, but unfortunately due to some health issues, I only weigh 84 lbs. Even with petite sizes, it’s impossible to find a trench coat ( or any other clothing) that I am not swimming in and yes I have to do the unspeakable often and shop in the junior department. Very difficult to find trench coats in junior sizes.
But you always give wonderful suggestions of not only how to put my wardrobe together, shop, etc., but you make me feel better about myself for where I am now just by encouraging me/us to get up and get dressed for my/our day. And that’s been one of my greatest blessings since I randomly found you a couple of years ago as I was/am struggling with health issues truly living and sleeping in my pajamas every single day.
Thank you for always being so gracious, kind, encouraging, real, and faithful in our Lord.
Bless you. That is tiny. I do hope you’re able to find what you’re looking for. I’ll do my best to keep an eye out for very small sizes that might work. I’m so glad you found me and that you’re enjoying my content. Thank you for letting me know. 🩷
Kay, just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your lists of sales….I’m always watching in February for next year…I always wanted a Veronica Beard blazer with the zip ins, but they are just a bit pricey for my budget….you showed a Quince blazer almost identical…when it dropped to an affordable prize…I nabbed it…it’s on its way! I even learned how to shop you widgets, thank you again! Linda
That’s great to hear. I’m sharing both blazers in tomorrow’s YouTube video 😉
Loving the pink and green colors on you! Your eyes just pop. You look fabulous.
I have worn out my white sneakers and need new ones for spring. Do you think suede sneakers or white sneakers will be the way to go for spring and summer? I’m trying to be more in style and need an update for a trip coming up.
To me the suede ones are more comfortable and they’re very stylish while still casual.
All sorts of great outfit inspiration for spring! I was about to say almost the same thing as Alli – you look amazing in the pinks (esp the bloom pink and villa pink), the clover green, also in the Brenner top in blue coast, and the mulberry purple. 🙂 The short cropped trench is cuter than normal trench coats, at least to me. 🙂
Thank you. It’s nice to put on some pretty colors again. 🩷
I ordered two Jcrew factory jeans from your email last week. One of them is the crop jeans you’re wearing. Hopefully they fit well.
I hope they do, too. They feel really nice TTS to me.
My jeans arrived today. They fit well and do feel nice. I don’t like crop jeans so I ordered the regular length and they fit me at just the right length to wear sneakers and flats. So happy about that. The other full length jeans I ordered in petite. I need at least an inch or two heel to wear them. I’m happy both jeans will serve a purpose in my wardrobe.
Great to hear, Terri. Thanks for letting me know. 😊
