With the holidays approaching and a new grandbaby on the way, I’ve been dreaming of comfortable loungewear that I can enjoy wearing at home on cold days. So today I’m teaming up with Kohl’s to share some super warm and cozy styles for winter days at home.

I’ll be helping my daughter and son-in-law for a little while when the baby first arrives, and we plan to stay close to home, binge watching favorite shows (like the old Anne of Green Gables movies), baking cookies and reading…between holding the baby, that is! This Cuddl Duds zip top and joggers set will be perfect for a cozy day with the baby. It’s super soft and warm.
The Cuddl Duds zip top and joggers set is a two-piece set and comes in several different colors and patterns. I’m wearing a size Medium very comfortably, so I’d say it runs true to size.
You could wear a t-shirt or tank comfortably under the top, but I’m simply wearing this Jockey back-smoothing bralette. When I’m a guest in someone’s home I always take a couple of bralettes with me to wear with pajamas and loungewear. This Jockey back-smoothing bralette is very comfortable and modest, and it truly does smooth your back, ahem.
I got both the Jockey back-smoothing bralette and the Jockey light lift bralette, but the back-smoothing bralette is the winner for me. I don’t really need the support that the light lift bralette offers, but it is equally comfortable and effective.
The drawstring elastic waistband joggers and coordinating zip top are actually listed as pajamas. But I would have no problem spending a relaxing day at home in them. I completed this stay-at-home outfit with the Dearfoams chenille clog slippers. And yes, I am even able to insert my orthotics in them for real comfort. But when it’s time to cuddle up on the sofa for a good movie, I can swap out the slippers for these Muk Luks cozy cabin socks. Oh. My. Word. Talk about cozy and warm!
Those cozy cabin socks come in a set of two, so I’m saving the other pair to give to someone in my family for Christmas. Oh, and that Koolaburra by UGG sherpa throw is another cozy day at home essential. It comes in other colors, too. It makes a great gift as well.

Blessed for My Day
Yesterday I got a phone call from the husband of a dear friend. She suddenly finds herself in the hospital with cancer, whereas the day before she just thought she had a sore neck. My heart breaks for her. And of course James and I are praying for our friend’s healing as well as her beloved family. As James said, there is no good time to have cancer, but during the holidays must be especially hard.
And that reminded me that most of us are either relieved because we have finally had answers to prayers or we are waiting for God to act on our behalf. We’re either counting our blessings first and then lifting up requests for others, or we’re dropping to our knees daily in great need and then reminding ourselves to praise the Lord despite the hard circumstances. I want you to know that I care if you are in the latter group. If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, waiting for the answer to a prayer, hurting and sick or simply confused and broken, my heart hurts for you. And I am praying for you today. Please know that you are not alone. You are seen, you are loved, you matter. More importantly, God has not forsaken you, and He will indeed work on your behalf at the right time. Bless you.

I’ve had cancer three times! I love the book “Chris Beat Cancer.” He is a Christian. No matter what path you choose to get well-radiation, chemo, surgery, holistic…the advice in his book will help you heal faster and avoid metastasis. I have an extremely aggressive form of cancer and I have been able so far to avoid metastasis. My chances of deadly metastasis is 72% I am holding strong almost two years later and I attribute a lot of it to Chris Wark-Chrisbeatcancer.com and Chris Woolams from Canceractive.com. I also had a ton of people praying for me!!! Anyway, I will pray for your friend that God heals her. There is also a National Christian support group called Healing Strong at healingstrong.org which is wonderful. They have groups all over the USA. Some are Zoom groups.
I pray also that Abbey has a good delivery and the baby is healthy and well (and comes soon:) How wonderful to have a Christmastime grandbaby!!! Blessings to you all!

Loved this devo. I am one of the ones still waiting for answers, but I know God is always faithful. Thank you for your prayers for us! I like that I can tune into your blogs or videos and be encouraged. There is so much bad in the world and it is nice to think about something else. I have not ever been much of a fashion person…had 7 children and it was just a miracle if I got out the door dressed😅 And now it is hard to learn new tricks, but I am still encouraged by your videos and I am trying a little bit😊
