Happy Lord’s Day, sweet friend. Thank you for joining me here. There’s a good chance that I’m on my way to the airport or even flying to Dallas as you read this blog post today. Or maybe, the good Lord willing, I’ve already landed and I’m trying to adjust to the heat. Ha!
Do a sister a favor and whisper a prayer for me, if you will. It may sound frivolous, but I could use a little courage and confidence about now. I’m going to the LTK Con, which is a conference for influencers. Probably 95% of the 300 influencers there will be in the 20s and 30s, skinny as a rail with fresh, tan skin and long flowing hair. Ha! Yes, there will be others my age (and size!) there, but you probably know what it feels like to be a small fish in a big pond…swimming a little slower than the rest, too.
I’m truly looking forward to the conference and it’s a huge honor even to receive an invitation. So I know I have every reason to feel confident and cool. But, well, you know… Just pray for me, sweet friend. I appreciate it.
By the way, I do not know those people above and below. Ha. It’s a stock photo. I figured I’d go ahead and share that since someone would probably ask. But they look happy, don’t they?
Since I’ve been hobbling around the past couple of weeks and it turns out to be arthritis in my foot, I thought this verse was fitting for me. I came across it sometime in my daily reading this past week and it really refreshed me. Maybe it will do the same for you. Have a blessed day! I look forward to reading about our scripture choices.
