Spring is here and it’s time to dress the part. This year wider leg jeans and puff sleeves continue to trend, and those features feel fresh and fun with the advent of spring. So today I’m sharing a couple of casual outfits that that I’ve created from new spring fashions from Walmart.
The two outfits I’m sharing with you feature a few of my favorite brands at Walmart: Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara, Free Assembly and Sam & Libby. These are well known brands I can shop with confidence, and I love that they’re available at Walmart.com for affordable prices.
In this first outfit I’m wearing high waist, straight, cropped, full leg jeans from Free Assembly. These are actually available in several other washes and colors, but in varying availability. I’m wearing the shade Dark #33, and they appear to be available in most sizes 0-22. These jeans are very comfortable and fit true to the size chart; I’m wearing a 10.
I topped the cropped jeans with a Free Assembly Faux Wrap V-Neck Top in a cheerful pink and red check. Unfortunately this top is only available in limited sizes, but I found this one in a bold plaid that is equally fresh and fun. My top runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium.
My sandals and satchel are both from Sam & Libby. Did you know that the brand Sam & Libby was created by fashion designer Sam Edelman? Yep. Like I said, Walmart has well known brands you’re familiar with and that consistently deliver modern styles.
For my second outfit I’m wearing Sophia Vergara jeans featuring a palazzo silhouette and gussets on the sides of the full legs. I topped the wide leg jeans with a square neck top with blouson sleeves.
The jeans fit true to size very comfortably. Remember, I’m 5’8″ and I do need to wear heels with these jeans. I’m not sure you could have them hemmed unless you cut off at least an inch, and then you’d lose some of the gusset effect. My shoes are from my closet, but these Sam & Libby wedge sandals would be great with these jeans.
If you prefer a more traditional bootcut jean with a slimmer fit in the thigh, I suggest you consider the Melisa seamed flare jeans by Sofia Vergara.
I topped the jeans with this pretty square neck top in robin egg blue floral. But the top also comes in other prints and colors. I’ve included them in the shopping widget below. I especially like the cadmium yellow plaid and the ditzy floral.
I love that I can shop Walmart.com for spring cleaning supplies, groceries and fashions all at the same time and place. And so often my orders are delivered within 48 hours. Walmart does offer pickup and delivery options, too, if the items you order are in stock at your local store.

Compromises can be good things. We teach our children to compromise with one another so that they can get along better. We may compromise by meeting a friend half way between our house and hers for lunch. When we compromise with someone who is our equal, we show good will by meeting them in the middle. But compromising on an agreement that we are in with someone in authority over us does not yield the same amicable results. We know better than to compromise on paying our taxes, reporting to work and fulfilling our job requirements or following the police officer’s requests when pulled over.
We should also know that compromise is not an option when it comes to obeying God’s commands. He gives us directives for our good. And if we have made Him our Lord, we have agreed to follow the sum of His instructions. When we compromise by not fulfilling His requests, we risk missing out on His blessings. Today let’s consider if there are areas of our spiritual life in which we are trying to compromise with God. And let’s confess those and ask for the grace to live in complete obedience to Him.

My intention is to be kind, the outfits are cute. Especially the gingham plaid top. I have found for me, I do not buy clothes from Walmart. The shoes and purses are not leather and do not hold up. Also I cannot wear shoes that are not leather. Uncomfortable for my feet, as I spent years on my feet when I was younger, and need leather shoes or my feet swell.
Also the quality of the clothes, is not the best. I so like the outfit you put together and for ladies that have to shop on a budget, it is right on. Nice BFMD on compromise.

I loved the pink and denim outfit, but was disappointed to find the blouse is out of stock and I’m sure Walmart won’t restock it.
UPDATE, I found the blouse on Poshmark and just purchased in my size. Whoo hoo!

I must add that I have bought clothes over the years at Walmart that were stylish, comfortable and that last. Years ago I bought a very inexpensive tote bag from Shopko that lasted me through years of carrying heavy text books, gig paraphenalia, groceries, etc I never believed that just because it doesn’t cost as much it must not be worth it. Thank you for offering other options than expensive boutiques!
Ooh Kay your Monday Blog was perfect for me , I bought a pair of dark indigo wide leg jeans and I didn’t know what to pair them with to look good , so thank you for the fashion tips on how to wear them . Loved your Blessing of the Day about Compromise too 👌🏻❤️. Yes you are right when my husband went away for a couple of days everything went well and no word of a lie I had a little mouse scurrying around my kitchen , I saw 2 policemen passing by and asked them nicely to please remove the mouse 😂they did it with a smile .

Hahaha! I love that. Yes, I’ve talked with several women who say it never fails that when their husbands leave, things go haywire. In fact, the wife of the other man that was on the trip with James did call her husband to report a critter in the attic the night before they came home. Oh my!
