Last Minute Christmas Gifts Guide

Raise your hand if you still have a Christmas gift or two to purchase. I see those hands!! Since Christmas Eve is just one week away, I’d say that any shopping we’re doing from here on out would be for last minute Christmas gifts. So I’ve rounded up some great last minute gifts that, if all goes well, should still arrive by Christmas Eve.

Just a Little Pricier Gifts for Friends & Family

Now let’s look at some nice gifts for family and friends you almost forgot. Don’t worry. I won’t tell them! And they’ll never know because they’ll assume you put a lot of thought into these gifts.

But these noise cancelling headphones are high quality and a wonderful present for a variety of people, including the frequent traveler or the armchair football coach.

ThermoPro TP-17 Dual Probe Digital Cooking Meat Thermometer // Our son got us a ThermoPro probe a few years ago for Christmas and we use it frequently. This is a practical and much loved gift.

UGG Women’s Coquette Slipper // I recently got some of these slippers with the sturdy rubber sole because I need them when I take my dog out in the mornings. But they’re also soft and comfortable. Perfect for indoors, but great for fetching the paper in the morning, too.

Carhartt Women’s 4 Pack Thermal Crew Sock // I’m wearing my outdoor boots right now with the puniest little socks! I sure do wish I had on these thermal crew socks. She’ll love them!

2 PLY 100% Cashmere Scarf Elegant Collection Made in Scotland // If they live in a cold climate, they’ll love one of these pretty scarfs. Trust me. I’m freezing. I think I need to turn the thermostat up.

Codenames // So far board games have been the clear top selling Christmas gift here at Dressed for My Day. At least 30 of you have already bought either Wingspan or Azul. So I asked my son for another recommendation. He suggested Codenames, one that our family plays often. I can vouch that this is a great game that stretches the mind and provides lots of laughs and fun. It’s a pretty quick game, too.

Blessed for My Day

Well if it wasn’t enough to have your betrothal interrupted with an unexpected and inexplicable pregnancy, the government threw a wrench into Joseph and Mary’s life by demanding that they travel during the final days before the birth of her child. Can you imagine? It’s hard and risky enough to fly or ride a long distance during a pregnancy these days. But this young expectant mother didn’t have a reclining seat or a bath tub awaiting her.

While I don’t believe we should elevate Mary or Joseph, their obedience and submissive attitudes are worth studying. Let’s take time to marvel at their amazing faith and obedience. And let’s determine to emulate it as God calls us to go the extra mile. I’m pretty sure that extra mile won’t be on a donkey over rough terrain!
