Raise your hand if you still have a Christmas gift or two to purchase. I see those hands!! Since Christmas Eve is just one week away, I’d say that any shopping we’re doing from here on out would be for last minute Christmas gifts. So I’ve rounded up some great last minute gifts that, if all goes well, should still arrive by Christmas Eve.
While I’ve gathered these gifts for Christmas Eve (or before) delivery, be sure to check shipping dates when you order. I make no guarantees! But I’m trying to find you some quality options with speedy delivery.

White Elephant Gifts $10 and under
First up, let’s think white elephant gifts. When the white elephant gift exchange trend started years ago, it was popular and acceptable to just bring something from your garage or basement. Hahaha! Now a little more thought is expected for these gifts.
I suggest taking a high quality novel gift that will be fought over with zeal! These can be unconventional gifts that people really want and use.
Poo-Pourri Before-You-Go Toilet Spray // Yes, you read that right. Hahaha! Like I said, unconventional gifts that people really want and use…but may not buy for themselves. Plus, this one will get some laughs for sure. But it’s good stuff, too! JUST $7.49.
Tancendes Waterproof Travel Makeup Bag // I’ve heard great things about these little bags. They take up less space in your luggage than the traditional cosmetic bag. And your products stay more secure, too. JUST $7.99 with FREE SHIPPING.
Harney & Sons Black Tea, English Breakfast, 20 Sachets // A great brand, a wonderful tea. Enough said. JUST $8.25.
Fit Simplify Resistance Loop Exercise Bands // These are the exercise bands I use for my workouts. They’re perfect for travel, too. I love that they’re high quality bands, include a carry case and are small enough to tuck in your purse. JUST $9.95.
YAMIU Travel Shoe Bags // These nylon shoe bags are perfect for the frequent traveler or for the guy or gal who takes running shoes with them to work. JUST $9.99.
Coghlans Cooler Light // In my experience, flashlights are usually hot items at white elephant gift exchanges. But this nifty cooler light is a more novel idea. JUST $9.47.
Mr. Coffee Mug Warmer // At a recent Christmas party the conversation turned to discussing how we like our coffee. Turns out about 50% off people like it really, really hot! Those folks will appreciate this mug warmer. JUST $8.79.
Amco 8402 Rub-a-Way Bar Stainless Steel Odor Absorber // Whether she cooks a lot with garlic and onions or he has his hands in chemicals or oil, they’ll appreciate this nifty stainless steel odor absorber. Or maybe their spouse will appreciate it even more! JUST $7.99.
TEKTON Instant Read Digital Tire Gauge With Lighted Nozzle // We needed this handy tire gauge just recently when our “check tire pressure” light came on. JUST $9.50.
Just a Little Pricier Gifts for Friends & Family
Now let’s look at some nice gifts for family and friends you almost forgot. Don’t worry. I won’t tell them! And they’ll never know because they’ll assume you put a lot of thought into these gifts.
TravelWise Packing Cube System // I think one of the keys to buying last minute gifts is to purchase things you would like for yourself. That way if they don’t show up in time, you have a sweet gift to keep. Hahaha! And I’d love to have this packing cube system for myself.
Echo Dot (3rd Gen) – Smart speaker with Alexa // Even if the recipient already has an Echo speaker, they’ll enjoy having another for another room.
Bose QuietComfort 35 II Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, Noise-Cancelling, with Alexa voice control // Okay. I just said these should get there by Christmas Eve. I didn’t promise they’d all be cheap. But these noise cancelling headphones are high quality and a wonderful present for a variety of people, including the frequent traveler or the armchair football coach.
ThermoPro TP-17 Dual Probe Digital Cooking Meat Thermometer // Our son got us a ThermoPro probe a few years ago for Christmas and we use it frequently. This is a practical and much loved gift.
UGG Women’s Coquette Slipper // I recently got some of these slippers with the sturdy rubber sole because I need them when I take my dog out in the mornings. But they’re also soft and comfortable. Perfect for indoors, but great for fetching the paper in the morning, too.
Amazon Essentials Men’s Sherpa Fleece Vest // For the man who likes to keep the thermostat cool but also wants to stay warm, this sherpa fleece vest is the answer to all his problems!
Carhartt Women’s 4 Pack Thermal Crew Sock // I’m wearing my outdoor boots right now with the puniest little socks! I sure do wish I had on these thermal crew socks. She’ll love them!
2 PLY 100% Cashmere Scarf Elegant Collection Made in Scotland // If they live in a cold climate, they’ll love one of these pretty scarfs. Trust me. I’m freezing. I think I need to turn the thermostat up.
DELSEY Paris Helium Aero Hardside Luggage with Spinner Wheels // This high quality luggage is lightweight and easy to pack. The spinner wheels go all directions for easy movement. And this luggage is available in a variety of sizes and colors.
Codenames // So far board games have been the clear top selling Christmas gift here at Dressed for My Day. At least 30 of you have already bought either Wingspan or Azul. So I asked my son for another recommendation. He suggested Codenames, one that our family plays often. I can vouch that this is a great game that stretches the mind and provides lots of laughs and fun. It’s a pretty quick game, too.
Alrighty, that’s it! Be sure to check out my other gift guides here.

Blessed for My Day
Well if it wasn’t enough to have your betrothal interrupted with an unexpected and inexplicable pregnancy, the government threw a wrench into Joseph and Mary’s life by demanding that they travel during the final days before the birth of her child. Can you imagine? It’s hard and risky enough to fly or ride a long distance during a pregnancy these days. But this young expectant mother didn’t have a reclining seat or a bath tub awaiting her.
While I don’t believe we should elevate Mary or Joseph, their obedience and submissive attitudes are worth studying. Let’s take time to marvel at their amazing faith and obedience. And let’s determine to emulate it as God calls us to go the extra mile. I’m pretty sure that extra mile won’t be on a donkey over rough terrain!
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria. And all went to be registered, each to his own town. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. ~ Luke 2:1-5
