This Arizona girl has learned to appreciate layers. You’d be right if you assumed that most days are sunny and warm here in this desert state. But once the sun begins to set the temps go down significantly. And as we begin to transition from winter into spring, I think we all can appreciate good layering pieces. So today I’m introducing to you a sweet boutique clothing line that actually specializes in high end hoodies.
Yes, you read that correctly: high end hoodies. Amy, the founder of Evy’s Tree, actually started her clothing line as a result of creating fashionable, functional hoodies for her little family to take with them on a Disney vacation. She received so many compliments from her first accidental foray into fashion, that she began creating hoodies from luxurious, high end fabrics from around the world.
Amy Miraflor grew up in California, where the climate changes throughout the day as it does here in Arizona. She knew better than to ever leave the house without a comfortable, layering jacket. But she had trouble finding pretty hoodies (which she preferred) that were appropriate for layering over casual and dressy pieces alike. So she began creating them.
Evy’s Tree sent me two hoodies to try out and share with you. First of all, let me just tell you something about the delivery. I was stunned at how beautifully and thoughtfully these hoodies were packaged. I receive clothing shipments almost daily. Some of the items I pay the most for are poorly packaged and I’m surprised they make it to my door without stains or tears. But these pieces were doubled bagged in beautiful pink packages. I loved them before I opened them!
This Nicole charcoal cardigan is truly one of the softest, most luxurious feeling garments I’ve ever put on my body. And since it was a chilly and blustery day when we took these photos, I was grateful for the warmth it provided. I didn’t want to take it off.
This cardi is a luxurious charcoal grey that would pair well with most any color in your wardrobe. I’m wearing a medium and I’d say it runs true to size.
The Sharon Pullover is a subtle indigo blue with blue-grey sleeves. It features pretty lace detailing at the shoulders, grosgrain ribbon hoodie pulls and thumb holes in the sleeves for pulling the long sleeves down over your chilled hands.
I’m also wearing a medium here. Often I order smalls in tops, but sometimes mediums. So this is one of those boutiques that probably uses truer sizes and doesn’t vanity size. If you wear two sizes, go with the larger of the two.
Yes, Evy’s Tree comped me these two beautiful hoodies, and I’m so glad they did. But I always provide my honest evaluations here at Dressed for My Day. Hopefully I’ve earned your trust, and I don’t take that lightly.
So if you like what you see here, I do encourage you to check out the full line of high end hoodies at Evy’s Tree, as well as the other beautiful, chic clothing you’ll find there. Meanwhile, I’m keeping bundled up in my Evy’s Tree hoodies as we continue to experience cool days!

Blessed for My Day
I think I do pretty well at loving the special people in my life until I reflect on Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 13. Then I’m challenged by how small, sometimes petty and self-centered my love is. It is hard for me to be patient…even with those I “love” the most. And sometimes…maybe frequently…I do actually look out for myself more than I look out for the interests of my loved ones.
So how do we love with such sacrifice, such purity? The only way we can love this way is first to be infused with the love of God and then to ask Him to love through us. Today let’s be honest about the difficulties we have with loving well. And then let’s go to the Well, the One who loves us perfectly and passionately. Let’s ask Him to fill us up so we can pour out His love to others.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:4-6
