Welcome to Dressed for My Day! Today I’m dressed for a brisk walk on a nearby nature trail. It’s a great time of year to get outside and enjoy some fresh air and exercise. And I’m trying out some new activewear from Eddie Bauer while we walk. Plus, everything I’m sharing from Eddie Bauer is marked down 30% for their limited time Fall Sale. At least I hope it’s still on sale!

At this time of year I still like fairly lightweight leggings, nothing too thick or heavy. These Eddie Bauer lux high-rise 7/8-length tights are definitely on the thinner side, just right for a warm fall day. I’m wearing the 7/8-length tights in the twilight blue, but they come in five other shades. I’d say they run true to size; I’m wearing a medium quite comfortably.
I also prefer this 7/8-length in tights at this time of year. They feel fall-ish and are enough to protect me from a chill, but the exposed ankle makes me feel a little cooler as my body temperature starts to elevate from my workout. However, if you’re looking for something full length and potentially a little more substantial for colder temperatures, I think these high rise trail tight leggings would fit the bill. They’re full length and have nice zipper pockets. They come in a variety of colors, and they’re included in the 30% off fall sale.
I topped my 7/8-length in tights with the resolution seamless short-sleeve crew t-shirt in black. Again, I’m wearing a medium comfortably. This seamless tee, made of 66.5% nylon, 30% polyester and 3.5% spandex, is soft, stretchy and odor resistant. I mean it’s really soft. And the fit is so nice. It skims the body for a close but not tight fit. I really like the duotone design, and it’s available in five pretty colors, too.
I used to shop Eddie Bauer, but the one I shopped in Tucson closed. I think the one near my parents closed also. But I decided to order these pieces online, following the guidelines in their sizing charts. Everything turned out just fine, and the delivery got to me really fast, too. I really like Eddie Bauer for classic, sharp outdoor clothing that is comfortable, functional and good looking, too. And evidently they have some great sales.
While I like these lightweight workout clothes for this time of year, I do like to make sure I have a nice jacket on hand, especially if I’m getting out early in the morning or later in the afternoon. This sandstone backbone grid hoodie jacket is just the right weight. It’s substantial without feeling heavy. And it still feels soft, comfortable and stretchy. I really appreciate those thumb holes, too!
The jacket runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium. If they’d had the medium in the dusted indigo I would have opted for it I think. Then again, this black grid check is classic and versatile, so I think it will do me nicely.
My Obox sapphire waterproof hiking shoes are actually from L.L.Bean. Designed specifically for a woman’s foot, these hiking shoes provide substantial support and really hug the foot nicely. I’m definitely wearing them anytime I get out for a hike or nature walk this fall. But if you’re wanting to add some hiking shoes to an Eddie Bauer order, I’d suggest checking out the Eddie Bauer Lukla Flux day hikers. They’re available in two different earthy colors and they’re marked down temporarily.
Have you updated your exercise and activewear for fall? The Eddie Bauer Fall Sale might be a great opportunity to refresh your outdoorwear. I find that I enjoy my walks and hikes so much more when I’m clothed in comfortable, functional but also attractive and coordinated pieces such as these. Eddie Bauer has a generous return policy, allowing you to return defective items within one year for a full refund or replacement with your receipt. Register for an account with Eddie Bauer and you’ll always have a copy of your receipt on file, and you can earn free shipping the more you shop.
Thanks so much for stopping in for some style inspiration. I hope you enjoyed today’s post. I enjoy checking out new brands (or at least new to the Dressed for My Day blog) for our community. And I think I can highly recommend Eddie Bauer for their quality, generous return policy and 100 years of revolutionary outdoor gear. In fact, you might want to check out the story of this American brand here. I found it very interesting, especially the contributions made by Bauer’s wife and fellow outdoors enthusiast, Stine. Have a beautiful day!

Blessed for My Day
Sometimes we feel like the Lord has not heard our pleas for help because He is in fact working behind the scenes. Other times we grow anxious for Him to answer us, but He is waiting for the perfect, divinely appointed moment to reveal Himself and His answer. God is always able, always good, always attentive. We do not need to doubt His love and care for His children.
However… There are times when a person’s willful sin does indeed block their fellowship with
God. You may have heard the expression, “God didn’t leave you, but you moved away from Him.” So yes, sometimes it is wise to ask ourselves if our prayers are indeed bouncing off the ceiling that we have erected between ourselves and our God with our willful disobedience. The good news is that, even then, there is grace. God will welcome you back into His sweet fellowship with genuine repentance.
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save,
or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;
but your iniquities have made a separation
between you and your God,
and your sins have hidden his face from you
so that he does not hear. ~ Isaiah 59:1-2
