Today’s post truly reflects how I most often dress for my day during the spring and even into summer. I’m sharing a great pair of easy denim ankle pants coupled with a simple tee for easygoing style. This is not only what I would wear to coffee with a friend, but it’s what I actually did wear to coffee with a pal!

Easy Denim Ankle Pants

I love wearing jeans, but some days a gal just wants to play it a little more relaxed. Amiright? And for those of you who prefer not to wear shorts, these lightweight ankle length pants are a beautiful and cool option.

Easy Denim Ankle Pants

These full leg, ankle length pants are made of a luxurious blend of Tencel, cotton and linen, and they feel scrumptious on. No exaggeration. They feature a true an waistband with a true drawstring, front slash pockets and back welt pockets. I’m wearing a size 8, so they fit true to size.

And…these pants are 30% off today for Classic Awards members with code CLASSIC. Not a Classic Awards member? Join! It’s free and it’s not a credit card, just a points system. You’ll also earn triple points with your purchase today through the 9th.

Sometimes I worry that pants like these may not “sit” as comfortably as my full-of-stretch jeans. But these do. And they’re also available in indigo blue, summer sage, black and white Tencel, too. I don’t have any of those, but I tried them on in the store and they felt dreamy, too.

I’m wearing a super comfy tee, too. But it’s also very luxurious looking. It’s a vintage wash v-neck t-shirt and I’m wearing the color “pink city,” but it’s really a soft red. I also bought the shade “belle pink,” which is a true soft pink.

Oh, and this tee is 40% off with code FAVES, plus an extra 10% off today.

I think my shirt is a tad large. The day I bought it I guess I was feeling large (ever have those days???) and I bought a large. Ha! I generally wear a small in t-shirts, so that was a jump! When I went back for the pale pink I bought a medium, and it fits nicely. So maybe do go with the higher of your two usual sizes, but definitely don’t jump up two sizes like I did!

Keeping my jewelry simple and easy, too, I added my adjustable palm necklace and the adjustable chloe charm necklace. And I just wore my little hoop earrings. Y’all I’ve had these earrings since high school, but I do my best to link to something similar.

It’s definitely been warm enough to wear sandals here in southern Arizona lately. So I went with these Sam Edelman Bay Slides. I got mine at Nordstrom, but you can get them significantly cheaper right now here. I’m wearing the “saddle leather,” but they come in a variety of colors and patterns. I find them to be true to size and I enjoy wearing them.

Also great for easygoing style is this large leather tote. I was skeptical about it fitting easily over the shoulder, but the straps are definitely accommodating. Mine doesn’t have a zipper, but they do make one that has a zipper. It also comes in black with the brown strap.

I’m tell you gals, if you’re not one to wear shorts a lot or you’d just prefer to have something else to wear when you’re out and about this spring and summer, these pants are a worthy consideration. And today through this weekend they’re 30% for awards members. In fact, everything in the store is 30% off for members.

Speaking of easygoing, remember these pants? They’ve been restocked just today. So if you’re interested in them, head on over there now. They will most likely sell out again fast. Plus they’re available in a new red and white stripe and purple and white stripe, too. I’m wearing the small, so size down.

In fact, they’ve restocked a good bit of the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum collection, so you might want to check it all out here.

Blessed for My Day

During the spring when everything looks fresh and new, I am more frequently reminded of the beauty of the gospel. Jesus died so that I can have what I do not deserve. In fact, He paid a price I owed but could never pay. I am so grateful for the gifts we have in Christ Jesus.

I am especially glad today that He has made all things new. Because of His death and resurrection, we have potential, hope and a future. My, we owe Him so much. And while we can never “repay” what He has done for us, we can live well for Him. Today let’s remember that we do not live for ourselves, but we live for Him, the One who made all things new for us.

For Christ’s love compels us, since we have reached this conclusion: If One died for all, then all died. And He died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Spread the love
xoxo, Kay

  1. I really like this outfit Kay! I am not much of a shorts wearer, so those pants would be a nice option. Have a blessed weekend!

    1. Great to hear, Ginger. I know I’ve heard from several readers recently asking for options if they don’t wear shorts. And honestly, I’m wearing them less than I used to, too. Blessings!

  2. Comfort is king! LOL I love the striped pants with the simple white tee and denim jacket. I’m see you all over the place all of the sudden Kay, so our circles must be becoming like a venn diagram. HA! Happy weekend! XO

    1. Haha! And was just talking today to Susanne and she mentioned that she’s linking up with you soon! Fun. We’ll have to do the same sometime. 🙂

  3. The striped pants outfit looks great on you however I think the other look ages you in a way your clothes normally don’t. I don’t mean to be negative but you seem to have the age appropriate while still being fashionable look down and this doesn’t seem to fit that vibe.

    1. Huh. Well, absolutely no offense taken. 🙂 I actually do wear this, so there’s that. But I also was kinda thinking of my older readers when I purchased these. I have a lot of readers in their 60s-80s. And I have a lot of gals who say they prefer not to wear shorts, so I was trying to provide a cooler option than regular jeans. But thanks for the feedback. Really. I’ll have to consider how I can keep this look a little younger looking.

  4. Hi Kay, I love it when Bloggers show real life outfits because well, we all live real life! I really like the Sam Edelman sandals but am disappointed they’re sold out in my size, on the Steve Madden site and they’re currently unavailable on Amazon. Boo! They look so comfortable and I need a pair of sandals in that color. Have a wonderfully blessed day!

    1. Hi Nancy. Thanks for letting me know. Yeah, I think at this time of year you’re going to end up having to pay full price for that color. The cheapest I’m finding that particular color is $89.95. So you’d do best to order from Nordstrom (https://shopstyle.it/l/1GCC) or some place that gives you free shipping. Thanks for reading!

  5. Hi Kay, I like today’s outfit as I find myself thinking about jeans alternatives. It must be my age!

    1. LOL! Well, they’re very comfy pants. No, I wouldn’t wear them on a date night or even lunch date, but they’re great for working around the house or running errands. And then, too, they’d be great for a picnic with the family, etc. I have lots of readers who are looking for shorts alternatives so I’ve really got that on my radar lately. Have a good weekend.
