I know that many of my readers, like me, have young men to shop for this Christmas. Honestly, I find this to be a hard category to shop for. While my daughter keeps a running list of gifts she’d love, my 29-year-old son rarely mentions his gift desires. But I’ve asked him to help me curate this list for you. (That’s my sneaky way of finding out what he wants!!) He’s suggested a few things and I’ve run others by him. But all of these gifts have been given the thumbs up by my young man.

Check out my gift suggestions for young men. Let me know if you have questions about any of the items I’m recommending.

Wireless Charge Pad – Apple Optimized – If your young man uses an iPhone, this Apple optimized wireless charge pad would make a perfect and substantial gift for him. Even if it turns out he already has one, he could probably use a second one at the workplace or in his travel bag.

Sudio Nivå Bluetooth Headphones // I was recently gifted a set of these Bluetooth earbuds and I’m really enjoying them. My phone requires wireless earbuds, so I needed some. And these provide high quality sound and a long charge. They’re also on my Gift Guide for Young Women in white, but I think these black ones will be more appealing to young men.

Wonder Lint Electric Sweater Shaver – For the young man who wears a lot of sweaters and wants to keep them looking nice and professional, this sweater shaver is a must-have. It’s the gift he probably wouldn’t buy himself, but he’ll be so grateful you snagged it for him. In fact, you might want to pair it with my next pick.

Cashmere Crewneck Sweater for Young Men

Cashmere Crewneck Sweater – Yes, a cashmere sweater is a luxury and a little pricey. But the fashionable young man will appreciate it like no other gift. Pair it will the sweater shaver above to seal the deal…and the sweater! It’as available in so many beautiful, manly colors.

Solid Crewneck Sweater – For the less discriminating young man, this more economical crewneck sweater will be appreciated and oh so classy. Available in three nice neutrals.

Woodhouse Shep Quarter Zip Pullover – And for the decidedly sporty young man, this quarter zip pullover is a nice clothing choice. I love, love, love the color, the subtle detailing and the textures in this warm top. And as I compose this gift list, it’s marked down and fully stocked in all sizes. Of course, with Nordstrom you always get free shipping and free returns. Or if you prefer a pullover from Patagonia, I found you this one at REI,

half zip hoodie for young men

Vans Flurry Half-Zip Hoodie – This is my last regular clothing suggestion, but I couldn’t leave out a hoodie. I heard it again yesterday as I was watching a young man’s gift guide on YouTube. Guys just really like hoodies! I know my young man does. And this one is definitely a step up from the hoodies your young man used to wear in his teen years, but just as cozy.

Flannel Joggers – I know my young guy loves his joggers for loungewear. In fact, since he works from home, I have to wonder if he “wears them to work.” Ha! Hey, that’s his business! But these flannel joggers would certainly meet his standards. Again, that free shipping makes these a great buy.

Rei Co-Op REI Co-op Men’s 650 Down Jacket – This down jacket is a sweet price for your outdoorsman. Here are some of the features of this jacket:

  • Recycled nylon shell fabric treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish sheds light rain and snow, and provides wind resistance
  • 650-fill-power down is lightweight and has an impressive warmth-to-weight ratio
  • Highly compressible—packs into its own left-hand pocket
  • available in several great shades
Yeti Cooler for Young men

Yeti Roadie 20 Cooler – If your young man frequently packs a good sized cooler for tail-gating, camping or work, he may be making do with something else. But I guarantee you this is the cooler he really wants. Nothing maintains the temperature of its contents the way a Yeti does. Don’t believe me? Check out the reviews here.

Outdoor Research Outdoor Research Gripper Heated Sensor Gloves – Whether your guy’s work keeps him outside in the winter or he just hangs out there to watch football or hunt, he’ll thank you for these heated sensor gloves.

Eno Double Nested Print Hammock – If he’s a backpacker or camper, he’s going to love this compact hammock. It packs down to the size of a grapefruit, but is much lighter. And it fits two!

CARTMAN 122pcs Tool Kit Set – This handy tool set contains the small tools needed for most repairs around the house. So whether your young man owns a home or just needs to hang an occasional picture or put together something from Wayfair, this compact set will come in handy. Every guy needs one of these!

Fossil Evan Messenger Bag – If your young man ever has to carry his work with him, he’ll appreciate the classic but contemporary styling of this leather messenger bag by Fossil. And as I type this post, it’s being offered at a sweet price, too.

DELSEY Paris Helium Titanium Hardside Luggage with Spinner Wheels – If the young man’s work takes him places or if he loves to travel as much as my guy does, he’ll undoubtedly appreciate this carry-on suitcase. My son has one like the international carry-on featured here that has a front accessible compartment with an integrated padded sleeve for up to a 15.6 inch laptop and two zippered mesh pockets for computer accessories, toiletries, or any last minute items such as tickets, passport or books. There are several different sizes and groupings at this link, so check out the one you’re purchasing carefully. But these are great suitcases.

Wingspan board game with swift start pack – My son loves, loves, loves board games. And Wingspan, according to Daniel, is the hottest game of the year. If you have a board game enthusiast to buy for, this one will surely delight him.

LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle 21313 Expert Building Kit – They say the only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys. But this LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle set disproves that theory. If your son, like my, has never really outgrown putting together these iconic toys, he’ll appreciate the challenge of this kit. My son and daughter-in-law enjoy putting them together.

KeepCup Reusable Beverage Cup – I suggested one of these in my Gift Guide for Young Women, too. But I think guys tend to prefer smaller coffees and specialty drinks. I think this glass, cork and brown selection is quite masculine-friendly, too. Young people are even more passionate than most of us about using products that cut down on trash and litter. You’re young man will know you’ve done your research if you get him this chic cup.

Bodum Chambord 8 Cup / 34oz Coffee Press – My son likes coffee, but he definitely prefers French press coffee. And when it comes to French presses, he recommends the Bodum brand hands down. Again, you’ll prove that you’ve put some thought and research into this gift if you give your guy a Bodum. And if you think he’d prefer a pour over, I suggest this Bodum. Oh, and the Bodum Bistro Burr Grinder would make the perfect accompaniment to either coffee maker.

Sorry! The doggie’s not for sale! LOL!

Feetures Socks – I received a couple of pairs of socks for men from Feetures recently and gave them to Daniel to try out. He reports that they are extremely comfortable, durable, soft and easy to wear. In fact, they’re like an all-day massage for your feet. These socks have patented technology that provides targeted compression where it’s needed most and anatomical design that enhances fit, delivering maximum comfort and protection by eliminating blisters (notice how the socks are marked R & L for right and left feet). I have a pair that I wear frequently with my running shoes, and I love them.

L.L. Bean Wicked Good Men’s Moccasins – Daniel tells me he lives in these around his apartment. He and his wife both have L.L. Bean moccasins, in fact. And now that I live in chilly Ohio, I can definitely understand why he’d love these slip-on shoes so much.

Here’s a widget with most of the items (but not all) listed above. Also, remember the prices in the widget are not always accurate. So click through if you’re interested. (If you shop through the links in this post, I potentially earn a commission on your purchase, but at no additional cost to you. Blessed for My Day

I’ve discovered that an attitude of gratitude is good therapy for the soul. In the same way stretching out after exercise keeps me limber and able to lift again the next day, practicing gratitude keeps my heart soft towards life’s bumps and jolts and prepares me to trust God each step of the way.

Today, instead of seeking peace through our circumstances, let’s allow it to rule in our hearts as a result of cultivating gratitude. Let’s thank God for everything that He sovereignly allows into our lives and trust that He will equip us to get through it. As we trust Him and thank Him for His provision, He will create an uncanny peace within our souls.

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. ~ Colossians 3:15

Spread the love
xoxo, Kay

  1. I just asked my grandson if he would like a new down jacket and he said yes, so I can cross off one more name on the gift list. (The dog accidentally clawed his last down jacket.)

  2. Great ideas here, thank you! I have two boys and can really draw a blank sometimes on gifts for them
Also, BFMD, what a great reminder!

  3. This is an excellent gift guide. I got ideas for both my sons and husband as well as my daughter’s boyfriend. Thank you so much!
