Home Essentials & Niceties
This first category is full of home essentials and those niceties that make daily life a little more enjoyable. And yes, you'll find stocking stuffers and big ticket items. Maybe you, like us, like to get yourselves something special at this time of year. It's a great time to get that robot vacuum or new television that you've been wanting for so long.
Here I've gathered some great accessories for the kitchen. Whether the couple on your gift list are newlyweds or seasoned partners, everyone loves something new for the kitchen.
I love a couples gift that celebrates that unique and special relationship. These gifts - from large to small - are uniquely for the two of them...or you! James and I have a similar push pin map and we've enjoyed keeping tabs of all the places we've been together and as a family. And I have some fun books and games in this list, too. In fact, the Trails game is best played with just two people. It's a beautiful, fun game. And quick to play! And I LOVE the customizable Wanderlust Roadtrip print. You can choose up to 8 locations that are uniquely special to the couple to include on their print.
In this gift category I've gathered little luxuries for you or those on your list. I think every couple needs a picnic basket, and I found a really great one to include here. I've also got wine accessories and a fire pit. All you need is the wine! Well, I have that here, too. I have a membership in the Firstleaf Wine Club and I enjoy it. I usually enjoy one or two of the bottles in my delivery, share some with company and then gift the others to hostesses or friends and family. You'll get $30 off the first order if you try the club through my link. And then you could give each bottle away separately!

Blessed for My Day
Let’s face it, there are days when being a twosome feels tiresome and burdensome. When we’re not at our best, selfishness and self-centeredness quickly rob us of the joy of being in partnership with another, even if we love them deeply. But the Bible reminds us throughout that we are not created to walk this journey alone. Whether you are married or not, you were designed to live in tandem with others. And if you are married, that particular and unique relationship is designed by God to be a blessing and building block in our lives.
Being married can feel a little like sandpaper rubbing you raw sometimes. But that’s a good thing! Sandpaper rubs away the imperfections and leaves a smooth surface. In the same way, our marriage relationships can make us better people…if we are willing to seek the Lord and allow Him to use our disagreements and differences to perfect each of us. It does indeed take a little cooperation and a lot of humility and love. But being a couple and working through life hand in hand is one of God’s sweetest instruments for refining us and making us more like Him.
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! ~ Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
