My Favorites from the Talbots January Collection

Talbots has some cheerful and pretty new styles out for January. The collection is definitely a nod to warm weather destinations. So if you are a snowbird enjoying the warmth of Florida, Arizona or even more exotic locations, this collection is for you!

But you’ll also find styles that are perfect for early spring. So depending on where you live and how early warm days arrive, you may want to begin planning your spring wardrobe with these pretty items. You’ll notice that straight and wide leg jeans and pants are prevailing. And I’m seeing a lot of sailor inspired pants, too. It’s a great time to add some cheerful colors to your wardrobe, too.

Talbots is also having their semi-annual Red Door Sale with special deals starting at $19.50 and an EXTRA 40% off all marked down items. That includes so many winter favorites like my microfleece funnel neck top, these this half-zip mockneck sweater, these festive velveteen pants, this super down hooded coat, and SO MUCH MORE.

  1. I would like to give readers a warning about a scam I fell victim to. I love Talbots clothing and had had my eye on a couple of sweaters throughout the fall. Like all of us, I hoped to snag a deal. I was reading a blog (NOT Kay’s) when an ad popped up for an online Talbot’s Outlet site. The prices were fabulous and quantities of each item on the site were very limited. Because the prices were so low, I thought the merchandise must have been items that were returned to the main Talbot’s site and were then being resold at a deep discount. The website uses photos from the actual Talbot’s website. The English is perfect. I even got an email after I placed my order thanking me and giving me a tracking number! My items were said to ship well before Christmas. After a week of checking the tracking number and seeing that my items had still not shipped, I called the phone number at the bottom of the website to see when I could expect my items to ship. I got an out-of-order recording. I could not find an email address for the outlet’s customer service department. I went online to the actual Talbot’s site, found their customer service phone number, and spoke with a very helpful man. We determined that I had been scammed. He told me that the link to the fake outlet site is being spread all over Facebook. The link I saw popped up on a blog. I hope that you will all beware. There is no online Talbot’s Outlet website. Talbot’s Outlet brick and mortar stores exist. There’s one near me, but there is no online site. I had to call my credit card company and have a new card number issued. The scammers are getting more and more clever.

    1. Oh wow. That’s horrible. Let’s all definitely be careful out there. We really have to be vigilant shoppers these days, don’t we. Bless you. And thank you for sharing.
