It’s not the time to call attention to oneself. It’s good to reflect a somber tone, connecting to those who are grieving. If you look at TV, it’s often what looks like black cocktail dresses & even stilettos. Some funerals end up with a pool of competing fashionistas, almost a party where they’re vying to be seen. Hopefully most outgrow this, though it could do with discussion. Thanks for your considered piece.

Most people do not know what to say at times like this, but just being there to hold a hand or offer a shoulder can be the most helpful.
