I had planned to get to see my whole family on Christmas Day with a big dinner at my house. Not to be! My SIL works for an energy company and they think she needs to be in the office (in another city) during the freeze etc. Yuck!
I’ll end up going to Christmas Eve service at a church I’ve never been to before (probably for the best so I won’t cry about missing my Mom) and then dinner with my DH’s brother’s family. Then on Christmas day it will just be my family, and my sister’s family. Still a good bunch, but with some loved ones missing. We’ve already planned to have a family Christmas on New Year’s Day. So that’s something to look forward to. I hope you enjoy(ed) your parents!
