I have really enjoyed this rwo part series on wardrobe investments. You are so right about hunting and gathering and also how important good accessories are.. It’s lovely to gather but so important to take the time to hunt for items that are more expensive or that are classic pieces that we hope to wear for many years. Last autumn I bought a pair of burgundy loafers, inspired by a post of yours and I love them. They look so good with many outfits and colours and I’m sure I will be wearing them for a long time.. Thank you for putting these two lists together, they have been so helpful.

I really appreciate these lists. Done my way – scarves, yes, but I am not sure I have silk. I tend to use scarves more for warmth than for style. Handbags, absolutely, I have year round totes and shoulder bags. Booties, absolutely, two pair, a dark neutral and a light neutral. Loafers read a little too masculine for me, but I do have one pair in leopard print, which I love. 🙂 Belts, for me are a no, they just feel so uncomfortable. As for fine jewelry, that is something new I am embracing and I am feeling pretty good about that! Thanks as always for your thoughtful style articles.
