Those jackets are just beautiful! As one of my late sisters used to say, “This life is not a dress rehearsal!” She always wore her best things; as a nurse, she knew life can change in an instant and there was no point saving things for “someday.” I use my mother’s sterling silver every night – no reason not to, as using it keeps it polished and there are just the two of us now so handwashing and drying a couple of forks, etc., is not onerous and I’m glad to use it – same goes for our “good” clothes – since many, if not most, of your followers are older, what are we waiting for? As my husband says, “This is as good as it gets!” Hope you enjoy some Michigan cherries while you’re there – Traverse City is famous for them and there is a store dedicated to all things cherry called “Cherry Republic.”

Trust me, I’m all for wearing dresses, skirts and other options. The point of this post was to make sure we have something special in our wardrobe to elevate casual looks. Maybe it’s because I spent so many years in Texas and Arizona, but I just know women do indeed want to wear jeans quite often, but we still want those denim outfits to look special. It’s easy enough to wear a dress and look special. But you have to have something a little unique in your closet if you want to elevate a denim outfit. Hope that clarifies my intent a bit.

Love your hair style. What have you done different? Longer? I know you are wearing it straighter. So cute. Love your grey color. It’s more white so goes with more. Since I e gone grey I don’t feel good in Fall colors line camel etc.
