Shop My #NSale Look Inspirations

Hello ladies, and welcome to Dressed for My Day. Are you shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale today?!! I am so excited to shop online this morning, pick up my orders at the Nordstrom in Scottsdale, and then shop some more in the store! I hope you’ll read through this blog post and shop with me!

Nordstrom Cardholders have access to the sale beginning today at 9:30 a.m. Pacific time. (Not a cardholder? Sign up here.) I imagine that includes many of my readers. So I’m dedicating the day to covering the sale. Yippee! Here on the blog I’ve created SO MANY curated #NSale look inspirations, but I’ll also be adding to my Shop My #NSale 2019 Favorites page and showing my fitting room try-ons on Instagram stories later in the day.

Below I have complete looks coordinated from items in the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. If you gals like these and are interested, let me know and I can do more for an additional post, maybe as we approach July 19th, when the sale is open to non-cardholders.

I’m featuring…

• premium denim in most of the jeans looks because, while you will find denim in all price ranges, now is the time to purchase premium denim if you’re EVER going to.
• premium handbags, but not the high, high end bags.
• shoes and boots in a variety of price points. Because I’m tall…and because many of my readers don’t prefer heels, I have plenty of lower heeled versions.
• fashion jewelry, but only those brands that I rarely see go on sale and that I’m familiar with.
• a few beauty “kits” that provide great quality at a good price.
• wardrobe essentials under $100, many under $50.

Look #1 – Casual + Fun with Black Jeans

Each piece in the look below is less than $100. I paired the black novelty tee with black jeans for a column of one color under a long cardigan. But the leopard print booties and tortoise shell earrings will add plenty of interest and style to this simple, casual look.

This Madewell cardigan is a wool blend and definitely has more of a wool feel than some of the other cardigans. But it’s still soft. The cardigan runs a little big, so either size down or order two sizes. It comes in 5 great shades for fall & winter.

Look #2 – Leather Jacket with Casual Look

This is one of several real leather jackets that are available for less than $200 during the NAS. I love the feminine silhouette of this Treasure & Bond biker jacket combined with the edgy asymmetrical front zipper.

I’ve also incorporated both snakeskin and croc textures into this outfit.

Look #3 – Elevated Sweater & Jeans with High End Bargains

The items in this look are all a little on the higher end. But these are the luxurious wardrobe essentials worth splurging on if you’re up to it. For instance, if you’ve been saving up to spend a little on a classic, quality bag that could see you through all four seasons, this Rebecca Minkoff convertible leather hobo is a worthy contender.

And these AG straight leg jeans will give you great quality denim, but in a straight leg silhouette. The dark wash will flatter and they have a 32″ inseam, so they’re perfect for pairing with heels. (Which I neglected to do here!)

And don’t forget, a pair of sharp looking sunglasses can elevate your look tremendously. As can pointy toe shoes. And this trending but classic Gorjana necklace is such a great buy. I never see this jewelry on sale!

Look #4 – Casual but sporty for transitioning into Fall

Switch out this long sleeve scoop neck tee for a short sleeve basic tee and you’ve got a perfect transitional look for early fall. This red check double breast blazer is so darling and versatile. It would look great with a chambray shirt underneath, too.

While you’ll find the full range of denim in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, this is really the time to buy premium denim if you’re interested. The jeans included in the event will mostly be about 40% off the list price, and you’ll not likely find them this low again.

Size down in these AG ex-boyfriend relaxed slim jeans. I’ve watched plenty of gals on YouTube try these on, and they all say they have lots of stretch and suggest you size down. Oh, and they look oh so cute on.

Look #5 – Casual with Touch of Elegance

Nothing is more classic and comfortable than a soft sweater and comfortable jeans. But you can elevate the look with fashionable booties like these by Marc Fisher. Top even the most casual look with this amazing leopard print coat for pure style! I’ve watched vloggers try it on and love it. They say it feels rich and beautiful.

Look #6 – Ruched Body-Con Dress with Neutral Accessories

You’ll also find beautiful dresses in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but I would select dresses that can serve as wardrobe essentials. This mock neck body-con dress comes in two other fall colors as well and can be dressed up with heels or worn casually with fashionable sneakers or edgy booties.

If you want the look of a leather jacket, but not the price, this faux leather moto jacket is a chic option.

Look #7 – Plaid Levi’s Coat + Waterproof Boots

I’m not sure if I’ll end up with this plaid Levi’s coat, but it’s toward the top of my dream list. I wear a lot of red and black and grey, so I think it would work well as a “second coat.”

I’m also hoping to snag a felted wool hat in a pretty neutral. This Nordstrom brand fedora only comes in grey, but that’s fine with me. But this Brixton wool hat comes in both black and blush.

Look #8 – Active Wear

I’m definitely shopping for athletic wear during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I’ve fallen in love with Zella leggings and much of their other apparel. You’ll find Zella leggings in full length, ankle, 7/8 length and cropped.

I’m definitely looking to order these Addidas running shoes. I’m waaaay overdue buying new running shoes (because I hate buying them!), and these look like a really good buy. Plus I’ve heard awesome things about them from several sources recently.
