Hi Anne, I didn’t cuff them that day because it was quite chilly. Sometimes I do. I think you can wear chinos most any length really, cuffed or not cuffed. If you want to wear them as ankle pants they should hit right at the ankle bone, as mine do. But if you want to cuff them as wear as cropped pants, they should hit 1-2 inches above the ankle bone. My ankles are a little thick, so I generally prefer my pants to hit at the narrower part of my ankle.
