Thanks so much for sharing that perspective, Julie. I’ve really been inspired by these tough Cincy exercisers. I got out there again for a walk when we had a beautiful but brief respite from the clouds this evening. And I’m so glad I did. People were out in full force and it was delightful. Of course we all kept our distance from each other. I even passed by one culdesac where several couples were out having a conversation and they were strewn out as though they were playing some sort of game. But alas they were just social distancing.

And we absolutely love it here. Have felt at home from the moment we moved in. Thanks again for sharing, Julie! ☺️

I want to comment on walking and exercising outside while living in the north, and in almost any kind of weather! It has its rewards, as I can testify from experience! It makes us tough, in a good way, of course.

We are northerners and Cincinnatians originally, having spent most of our lives in the Midwest, but now live in the south. My husband and I are fitness walkers, and truly we walk in almost any weather, hot, cold, wet, or dry. We’ve picked our way gingerly through icy and snowy streets, wrapped to the gills against frigid temps just to get our walk in. We used to walk our dogs at night through snowy woods and the reflectivity of the snow even in a suburban setting made the walks delightful.

I applaud you, Kay, and all your fellow Cincinnatians, for getting out there! Cincy is a great town, and I hope you’ll come to feel at home there.
