It took me a while to realize that expensive clothes were not in the same colors that inexpensive stores carried them in. It’s a difference even in neutrals like gray or navy sometimes. But I do think black and white are close to the same.
I didn’t notice the feel of the fabric until I got older. Fit is the worst unless you get basic lines in garments. I do buy but I’m careful. It just takes more time to separate the wheat from the chaff but I do love a bargain.
