In reply to <a href="https://dressedformyday.com/a-few-of-our-favorite-things-july-2024/#comment-58434">Elizabeth Meeks Hornback</a>.

Hi Elizabeth. I generally get my pants hemmed to wear with my platform sneakers (which are the lowest heel I will wear them with) so that they don’t drag the floor when I wear those. Then I can still wear them with up to a two inch heel and have them hit nicely. Whereas once it was deemed acceptable ONLY for your trousers or full leg pants to be at just 1/4 inch off the floor, those rules have become more ambiguous in recent years. Now we’re seeing full length trousers worn up to two inches off the floor or puddling on it. I still prefer mine to be 1/4 inch from the floor (what mine are with sneakers) to maybe an inch off the floor with a 2-inch heel. Hope that long-winded answer helped a little. Ha!

Thank you, Kay, for helping me shop the N Sale. I ordered the cropped tees in white, short sleeve and long sleeve. Love the slightly extra weight and silky smoothness. I had been looking for new white tees with tighter neck openings and slightly heavier weight than Talbots, things you can't read online. Your comments about the weight sold me. And then today, I finally received the plaid knit blazer I had been chasing. Sadly, it was rust rather than burgundy and black rather than navy, But the real dealbreaker was that the fabric was mis-sewn and the plaid didn't match in front. :( But after I read this post, I checked on your gray knit blazer and they had one left. In my size. So I clicked your link and snagged it. :)

I notice you want to wear your tennis shoes that have an elevation with full length pants. I am struggling to know where full length pants that are a straight cut should hit when I where shoes with a heel. When I try to get them longer they just bunch on the top of my foot & don’t drop down at the back.
