Great blog post! I enjoy doing my nails once/week. I am a huge fan of Londontown nail products. I have some ridging in my nails due to thyroid disease and I find the Londontown products hold up well. I love their nail illuminating products in pink and lavender. Very light and long lasting. Magnolia haze for a milky white/pink polish. I always use their gel genius top coat and feel like it helps make my polish last longer.

I love this post and especially your BFMD! I really feel that hands are one of the most amazing part of our bodies - such an incredible work of engineering by our Lord! You are so right about the importance of keeping our hands looking lovely, because they regularly are used as instruments of care. I either do my own manicures or I will get a professional manicure, depending on my mood and budget. I favor medium length, squoval nails, usually with just a clear coat, but if I want color, I lean toward light peach, copper, or for Christmas and Valentines, I will do red. I also love a classic French manicure.

Can you believe in my 64 years I've never used the term "my manicurist"? Hahah. I've always done my own. Just finished doing a mani and pedi for a month long trip we're taking to Vietnam and Cambodia. I did white for pedi and a very subtle gold metallic for mani. I almost always use clear or metallics for traveling as they're more forgiving as far as showing wear before I can re-do or touch up. Not a fan of nail art or colors that aren't classic. I do like the new French mani you featured. I have actually done that on my own for several years. Great blog. Thanks!

I can't wear regular nail polish. It causes my nails to peel. For years my nails were in good shape without polish. Then last year I tried gel nail polish for a special occasion. I liked it so much I did it again. After it was removed my nails began to peel again. Now I just get a manicure and use a nail strengthening polish that doesn't have harmful chemicals. I have my nail tech use that since it looks like clear nail polish. I miss trying different colors of nail polish. Thankfully I don't have that problem with my toe nails.
